The 2023 BMW R 18 is a premium cruiser motorcycle that combines classic BMW Motorrad styling with modern engineering and impressive low-end performance. At its heart is BMW's 1,802cc air/oil-cooled Big Boxer two-cylinder engine, delivering strong torque and smooth power for relaxed highway cruising and long-distance riding.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed constant-mesh transmission and shaft final drive, providing smooth and dependable power delivery. Three selectable riding modes—Rain, Roll, and Rock—allow the rider to adjust the motorcycle's response for different riding conditions.
The R 18 features a classic steel tubular frame with a traditional design inspired by BMW's heritage motorcycles. Its suspension combines a telescopic front fork with a centrally mounted rear suspension strut, providing a comfortable and controlled ride while maintaining the R 18's distinctive low-slung cruiser profile.
