The 2024 Polaris Sportsman 850 High Lifter Edition is a purpose-built high-performance mud ATV engineered for challenging off-road terrain, deep mud, and demanding recreational use. Powered by an 850cc ProStar 4-stroke SOHC twin-cylinder engine, it produces 78 horsepower and delivers strong acceleration and torque for difficult terrain. Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) provides responsive throttle control and dependable engine performance.
The engine is paired with an automatic PVT transmission with Park, Reverse, Neutral, Low, and High ranges. The One Touch On-Demand AWD/2WD system automatically provides additional traction when needed, while the Engine Braking System (EBS) helps provide controlled deceleration on descents.
Designed specifically for mud riding, the Sportsman 850 High Lifter Edition features 13.5 inches of ground clearance, 30-inch Outlaw 2 tires, 14-inch aluminum wheels, and high-clearance arched suspension. The front suspension provides 7.4 inches of travel, while the rear suspension provides 6.7 inches of travel, helping the ATV navigate deep ruts and uneven terrain.
